Voted. You will find all of these things together where you put it in a safe spot so you would not lose them. Happens to me all the time. We have to stop putting things in a spot where we will not forget or lose them.

Maybe your cat is trying to repeat the trick one of my Siamese did years ago but she can't get the hang of it. This cat would run out our front door, hit the door across the hall at about 5 feet up and use that to make a 90 degree turn to head down the stairs full blast. You should have seen the neighbor's face once when she happened to open the door just as the cat was midair!
