It's Tuesday so May you have the hindsight to know where you have been, the foresight to know where you are going, and the insight to know when you have gone to far! Smile!
Yes, yes we do. We were a great tag team kinda thing! Cheryl rocked as well before she had to leave. Thank goodness she was able to help get the packaging organized. By the way they all made it to California around 10 the next morning. Since there will be 3 drivers maybe we can make it without stopping for the night. What do you think?
After running up and down the stairs yesterday and then going and helping mom and dad today my legs and feet feel so much better. Hope your feet are feeling better.
Another one of my Irish Grandfather's saying for you on this Monday: Trust in yourself. Your perceptions are often far more accurate than you are willing to believe.
Another adventure in cat ownership: I was on the phone with someone about a callback. Because I didn't want the cats interuppting, I went into my back room and closed the door. Sadly, the effort was in vain, because Persephone, with her determination to be a pain in the ass at every turn, began banging against the door and screaming louder than a police siren. Finally even the interviewer had to ask what was going on. Embarassed, I explained that I wasn't killing my cat. She's just a spoiled brat! Have a lovely Sunday!
I learned something new yesterday: Why people calling in to a radio station curse when they don't win. I've never called a radio station for anything before yesterday, but felt inspired to try with the promise of tickets to see my favorite band up for grabs. The exercise taught me two things: One, no amount of begging, pleading, spells or prayers can make up for the HUGE lack of luck I have in games of chance. Two, when people cuss on the air, they're not as out-of-line as I always thought! TGIF!
Lalalala!! Hey need to know what time Saturday and how late. Ric, Cheryl and the kids are heading to California afterwards. Ric and the kids will be picking Cheryl up so we need to know what time he should be there. Don't want him and the kids waiting to long.
Today's story: You're Doing it Wrong. Here in CO, we have an almost-forgotten rule of the roads, in the category of "mountain driving etiquette," which states: If you're at the front of a long line of cars on a single lane road, who want to go faster than you, you're to pull over and let them pass. I was driving one of those roads over the weekend, in one of those lines. The car at the front gets half credit for this attempt: He did let everyone pass. But, didn't pull over. Instead, he flipped on his hazzards, slammed to a stop in the middle of the road, and started gesturing with his arm for us to go around him!C+ for the effort. F for execution. Have a great Thursday!
