All last year we were nagged to use less energy, even unplugging small appliances not in use. We did so well that the energy company is raising its rates (a bunch)because they didn't make enough profit! This world would be much better if it wasn't run by short-sighted idiots.

Sorry for the absence. Had a house full the last few days. The ice storm caused power outages except here. Lost my computer for school and work. House and computer are all mine now. LOL!! Monday votes are in. Have a wonderful night!!
At some point, I need to find the black hole hiding in my perfectly ordered house. No matter how neat my house is, tidy, clean, organized, and everything in its place, things dsisappear in this house, never to been seen again. The recent casualties include the ribbon, name tags, and Christmas cards I bought to wrap Christmas presents. The theory is, these would have been in the same box as the rest of the ribbon and wrapping paper, in the box on the second shelf in my hall closet, labeled "Gift Wrapping." I still have not found these. Next, was my notebook with the contact information for my martial arts students. Theoretically, in the drawer the rest of my contacts. Gone. And, most recently, a box labeled jewelry, helpfully disposing of the bezels I bought for the pendulums I was making. The possibilities: One: my cats ate these things. Two: there's a magical vortex in my house, sucking things into the void, never to be seen again. Okay. Score one more for "unsolved mysteries!" Have a good one! Voted!
