So, since we were sharing cat stories last night, I thought I'd share another of mine. A coupler of nights ago, I finally earned my "Crazy Cat Lady" certificate. I own three cats, take billions of photos of them, and talk to them like they're people. But I finally earned the official title when I found myself snapping pictures of my Himalayan. Her name is Persephone, and I caught myself talking to her as I took photos on my phone, saying, "Come on, Persephone, find the light! You know your face photographs best when you find your light!" And, I really expected she understood me, and would listen! But, being a cat, she turned her nose up at the crazy lady, and trotted off to play with the other cats. Score one more sub-division of my inner crazy! Have a great day!
Well no poop today but my laptop cord was chewed in half(I have a spare)Im starting to wonder if my new puppy is running the house now. OMG the d@mn dog just tried to bite my back up cord while Im trying to Vote...now I am mad...LOL
So, after filling out, but never submitting the Big Brother application the last three years, I finally mailed in my application for Big Brother 14 yesterday. I spent a painstaking month filling out each question, making sure I was clear, articulate, interesting, and honest. I agonized over what photos to submit, and wrote and rewrote my points for my two minute video a million times, before shooting even once! And then, I realized, my twenty pages of application could be boiled down to one nutty phrase: "Hi, I'm Julia! I literally see dead people! No, really!" I know reality shows like BB love the loonies...but I somehow suspect I'm a little too loony. Lol! Nevertheless, I'm proud of myself for actually sending it in this time. Today, remember, you'll lead a much happier, healthier life if you learn to laugh at your self! Happy Tuesday from your resident loony!
Sorry for being away for so
long. I'm still here and I'm
not leaving until I get what
I am seeking. I am now doing
YOUNOW.com on Mondays,
when I do Robert Galinski's
Reality School. I thank you
for all the vote you gave me
and will give me. But you must
remember, contrary to popular
belief there is no such thing
as "luck". See you when I see
you.
I woke up this morning and stumble to the bathroom to take a shower..I step in a nice pile of puppy poop..nothing like fresh poop on your bare feet, between your toes to start your day...I am sure I will look back and laugh at this one day.
Despite all the time I've spent helping people find the beauty in themselves, even I battle with insecurity. I was struggling to capture a headshot for my profile, where I was smiling, and looked pretty, instead of creepy. I've always hated my smile...hence, why five years of local modeling hadn't provided a "pretty" headshot before. Just as I was growing frustrated, though, and was ready to give up...my dear husband chimed in to remind me that I AM beautiful, no matter how often I think I'm just creepy, and dwell on my insecurities. The lesson here: All of us, EVERYONE, has insecurities about something or other. Today, be kind to yourself. Instead of dismaying over crow's feet, pudgy thighs, or a smile that always looks forced...look in the mirror and give yourself a compliment. It all sounds very cliche, but I've seen positive affirmations work wonders. And, remember you have a friend here, with her forced-looking smile, and beautiful sapphire eyes. Good luck on your Monday!
