Oh, did you know that when they called me into the hall, I was given an award? They gave me the Eagle Volunteer award. This is the first year for the award and my friend says I'm part of the reason. She said I never get recognized (by the county party) for all the work I do, so the state party decided to make sure all of us that do all this work get recognized.

I'm still amazed at how fast we were able to get people checked out so fast even with the mistakes that one lady did! Nobody could believe that everyone had paid for their items before the event was finished!
Yea, I know what you mean...my legs and bum are feeling it too! I tallied the money today. Give me a drum roll! The auction including the 3 live "dinner" auctions and the necklace raffle brought in over $12,000! The dinner with John Koster went for $1300 and both dinners with Medved went for $2300, and the necklace brought in $940. The rest was from the silent auction! WE ROCKED!
Note to self: Next time, don't let Persephone eat any of the three-cheese chicken pasta. Last night was the worst night of "cat with gas" I've ever witnessed! And...the scent-memory might never leave me! Have a great Monday! VAI.
