Alex Purcell (dir.) is casting Paint My House, a five- to six-minute intermediate/advanced short film for NYU about Larry, a man who epitomizes the nice guy who finishes last. As he sadly contemplates his lot in life at the local dive bar, Larry shares an encounter with a mysterious temptress, one that will afford him a chance to finally come out ahead. Mitchell Ward Weaver, prod. Shoots two days the weekend of Oct. 29 at a bar (likely in or near the East Village) in NYC.
Seeking—Larry: male, 29-40, Caucasian, nice to a fault, a bit of a dork, hopeless romantic, LEAD; Jay: male, 30-40, multi-ethnic/African-American, bar bouncer, burly man with a tender heart, supporting role; The Red Dress: female, 25-35, fiercely independent, a femme fatale if there ever was, supporting role; Molly: female, 25-35, veteran bartender, Jay's tough boss.
