Debe Waisman Casting is casting background for The Artist, a feature. Richard Middleton, line prod.; Michel Hazanavicius, dir. Shoot starts Sept. 24.
Seeking background actors-Males: 18-75, Caucasian, must have short hair on sides and back, can be slightly longer in front; Females: 18-75, Caucasian, must have short hair, bobbed/pixie cuts, no long hair, research 1920's hairstyles, all must have a period look, no facial piercings, tattoos; African-American Males and Females:18-50, for an African tribal scene, fit/athletic. Note: Seeking SAG and nonunion, with period 1920's looks.
All background will wear provided period clothing and be willing to have hair trimmed/styled on set if needed. Scenes will need various types including upscale producer/director-looking types, very attractive actor/model-types aged 20's/30's, and crew types (were very upscale then). Many scenes shot as if on a period film set.
