Project:
TV show (docu-reality series) profiling the lives of up-and-coming Mexican American charros competing in the U.S. 2013 summer charreadas.
Object:
To highlight the fascinate world of horsemanship and traditions it brings. And to educate the public and sports excellence.
Format:
Our idea is to follow 4 -5 men (or women) during the charreada season. We will document their lives, on and off, from May to September. We want to see them competing in the state, regional and national championships (if they get that far). However, we also want to see them during their daily workout routines, their lives on the road and their lives when they are not charros, but simply living the american way of life. We want to know their families, see how they live and see what they do for fun. We want to be there when they celebrate victorious battles and also when they lose.
The Search
- We are looking for funny characters, friendly, dynamic and ambitious.
- We need about 15 candidates then we reduce to 5.
- We prefer younger men (ages 18-35), but if you are super large characters, then we would consider. Candidates may be in different stages of their careers.
- Candidates should know that this would be a following not only of his/her life in the rodeo, but also of their lives off the court. Basically it would be a "reality show" of their lives.
- There will shoot every week of the rodeo season, but one week here and two weeks there.
