Q. RealityWanted.com: What type of candidates are you looking for to be on the reality show?
A. Roz Taylor Jordan, America’s Got Talent: We are looking for every type of talent and act. You can be someone that has never stepped outside your room or you can be someone that has talent but wants to go to the next level. With over 19 million viewers we are looking for people from across America ranging in ages from 4-75 years old that can showcase their talent.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What are you not looking for in applicants?
A. Roz Taylor Jordan, America’s Got Talent: We are not looking for people who don’t believe they have any talent. We want people who care and not making this a joke.

Q. RealityWanted.com: How about when an applicant puts together their video, do you have any recommendations?
A. Roz Taylor Jordan, America’s Got Talent: Yes, we received over 100,000 applicants last year, so make sure we can hear and see you in your video. Introduce yourself (include your name, hometown and profession) and be yourself, we want genuine people not arrogant ones. Chose the best 90 seconds of your routine and make sure it’s the best part of your act. Send us a DVD, no Hi8’s.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Do the applicants need to spend money or a lot of time editing their videos?
A. Roz Taylor Jordan, America’s Got Talent: We are not looking for a professionally produced video, it is sometimes distracting. Just keep it simple and show us who you are and what you have to offer.

Q. RealityWanted.com: How about some application do’s and don’ts?
A. Roz Taylor Jordan, America’s Got Talent: The more of your story you can share the better, but be precise. Tell us why you would be great for the show, don’t just tell us you are great, tell us why you and show how being on the show will impact you.

Q. RealityWanted.com: How about open casting calls? Does it really pay to attend them?
A. Roz Taylor Jordan, America’s Got Talent: It is always good to come meet a casting director in person at an open casting call. We love meeting people in person, so apply online and then attend one of the open calls in your area. Also, when you attend the open casting call be sure to show up camera ready. When you come to audition be ready to go on immediately, sometimes people have to change into other outfits etc and it wastes a lot of time.

Q. RealityWanted.com: I have heard that sometimes an applicant might not be a good fit for the season or show you are working on but might get a call from a casting director for another show, is that true?
A. Roz Taylor Jordan, America’s Got Talent: Yes, you might not be a good fit for the present season of a show we are working on but we keep all of the casting applications we receive, so yes we might call you for another show down the road.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What’s next for you?
A. Roz Taylor Jordan, America’s Got Talent: I have my own production company www.CastIronproductions.tv and we are always creating and working on new shows.
