Q. RealityWanted.com: So how is this season going to be different from past seasons?
A. Damon Furberg, Supervising Casting Director The Real World 24: The show is 80 percent cast dependant and about 20 percent

the environment we put them in so every season has something new to offer.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What are you looking for in potential applicants?
A. Damon Furberg, Supervising Casting Director The Real World 24: We look for people with varied interests. We receive thousands of applicants and have to narrow it down to about 7 or 8 houseguests so as you might think we are looking for the right combination.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What are you not looking for?
A. Damon Furberg, Supervising Casting Director The Real World 24: We are turned off by people that have entertainment goals in mind. This time around we are not looking for aspiring showbiz types but more so genuine people that want to grow.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What makes you continue to cast The Real World every season? How does this show differ from other shows you have cast?
A. Damon Furberg, Supervising Casting Director The Real World 24: I enjoy casting this show because it is a lot deeper, we do a lot of interviews and really get to know the people who end up on the show.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Is it better to attend a open casting call or just send in your application? Do gimmicks help?
A. Damon Furberg, Supervising Casting Director The Real World 24: Yes, show up to one of our open calls if you are local and introduce yourself to the casting director. This is your chance to show us who you are, be ready to shine. Applicants should look at their own strengths and demonstrate them to us. I am not fond of gimmicks. We are just looking for people to be themselves.

Q. RealityWanted.com: If you don’t get a callback from one of the open casting calls, should you send in your tape too?
A. Damon Furberg, Supervising Casting Director The Real World 24: Sometimes people might have an off day at an open casting call,

so sure send us a tape along with a completed application. Remember The Real World is not a show about performers, it is a show about people.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What happens to all of the applications that you receive? Would you ever look at someone for another season?
A. Damon Furberg, Supervising Casting Director The Real World 24: Yes all the time, people will apply for one season and just not be a great fit with the other cast members we are looking at, but might be a great fit for another season. Don’t take it personally if you don’t get on the show.

At least in the early stages and for extras, casting may be decentralized geographically, often in conjunction with actual shooting planned in different states, e.g. in Hollywood or New York (studio) and one or more exotic locations (e.g. Hawaii, the Far East) and/or budget locations, http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=2342790

Those are really great tips thats awesome that you can give us a heads up but i think its always good to go to a casting call as yourselve instead if being someone your not because you never know what to expect from it you might go in being someone else ..in reality they were looking for your true personality but its always good not to be shy but to be outspoken while showing your true selve.
