Yau- Man of Survivor Fiji was the third cast member sent home from Survivor Micronesia and the second favorite eliminated. We talked with Yau-Man last Friday and discussed why he felt the favorites lost the immunity challenge, Fairplay's exit and more.

Q. Do you know if any other prior Survivor cast were contacted about being on the show but declined?

A. Yau-Man: I'm not sure if that happened but I do know there were several of us contacted and instructed to be ready to leave but not everyone was called back. I really thought I would see someone from my season and no one else from Survivor Fiji was there, I was hoping to at least see Michelle.

Q. So the favorites lost another tribe member. Did you guys underestimate the Fans?

A. Yau-Man: I think the Favorites became a bit cocky. We were able to make shelter, get food and fire but we went into the challenges and thumbed our noses at them. We got whooped since we were overconfident.

Q. What happened with Cirie, why didn't she try and break up the couples since it’s only a matter of time before the four of them remove her?

A. Yau-Man: I don't know for certain but I think she felt my alliance with Jonathon was too strong. I think I was at a disadvantage since Jonathan's Cook Islands season aired while I was filming Survivor Fiji. I didn't know all of the things Jonathan did on Cook Islands and how he was with the other cast. When he approached me I felt like it was a good match to align with him since he is also a little older, he is fit and does well in challenges. I also didn't spend much time with Cirie which was my downfall.

Q. Speaking of older cast members how much does age play a factor?

A. Yau-Man: In prior seasons the older guys got kicked off quickly so while I was on Survivor Fiji I made it a point to try and integrate with the younger cast and not say things like, "back in my day." However, much of the chat we had while sitting around the fire was about pop culture but what do I know about pop culture and the location of the best hair salon in Los Angeles.

Q. Did you ever have a chance to turn on Cirie?

A. Yau-Man: We did talk about it but never pursued it, looking back we should have. John, Amy and I never really approached the other alliance about this.

Q. Why not bust of the couples?

A. Yau-man: I thought it was so obvious to break them up. I mean you don't couple up that soon into the season. I thought we should have kicked off Parvati since that was our plan prior to Fairplays exit. I have no idea why we all let that opportunity go since two couples equals four votes.

Q. Who should people watch out for in your tribe?

A. Yau-Man: Ozzy, he swims in the water just as fast as he runs on land. Every time I turned around he was climbing a tree or fishing for dinner.

Q. That reward challenge looked brutal. James was running over people, Jonathan head butted someone and I think Eric flipped Amanda onto her head.

A. Yau-Man: That was one of the most brutal challenges ever. Originally it was set for the best two out of three rounds but round one took 45 minutes so the producers stepped in and told us we would do one round not the best of 3. What you didn't see was how much it rained on us and under the water was broken corral. Many people who didn't wear shoes cut up their feet and when we were laying down on the bags standing on our knees our knees got cut up. At one point someone tried to drown me.

Q. The final question I have for you is this, would you do it again?

A. Yau-Man: I don't know if I would, I guess I would need to know who else would be going since there was no one from my season on the show.
