Dancing with the Stars jumped right into the 5th episode by bringing out the lowest two scoring couples. Kyle and Lacey and Bristol and Mark were seen standing on the stage as the show began. Kyle and Lacey were the first safe couple of the night. Bristol and Mark were also safe allowing the two lowest scoring couples to come back next week to perform.
Encore performance went to a couple that all three judges loved. Brandy and Maks performed their quickstep to the theme of Friends once again. Again they ended it with Maks giving Brandy a giant lollipop.
Next we were treated with a gem of a commercial. "Bring it with Bruno." A DVD of Bruno's best movies including the Naughty Puma and many others." It stated that there are 3 hours of red hot moves. If only this was a real product.
The guest performance tonight was Jason Derulo. He performed his song "In My Head" and danced and sang in a very high energy performance.
Brandy and Maks along with Jennifer and Derek were brought onto the dance floor next to learn their fate. Brandy and Maks became the 3rd couple safe for the night but that sadly put Jennifer and Derek in jeopardy.
Another silly commercial was aired with the cast in it. Selling the product of "Easy Steps", an easy way to learn how to dance. Or to open a pickle jar. Whatever seems to tickle your fancy.
An emotional story was next on DWTS. A family in Congo was in the audience and they told their touching story about their mother and how she kept them strong in the hard times. She loves the show and they felt that she would be ecstatic if they performed. And they did, and did an amazing job!
Rick and Cheryl and Kurt and Anna were up next. Kurt and Anna were the 4th couple safe, all of Arizona cheered. Rick and Cheryl lost the athlete rivalry this week and were placed in jeopardy.
The next fun commercial included first week's outcast, David Hasselhoff. An ad for protection against dance injury, David "The Sledgehammer" Hoff will protect your rights and "hammer out the money." They were fun to watch, but three fake commercials in one show were a little too much by this point. It was fun seeing the Hoff in the audience though.
The next performer of the night was Shakira. She took away some of the attention from her performance with her very shiny pants. I have seen better performances by Shakira and was a little disappointed with this one.
Jason Derulo took to the stage again with "Georgia on my Mind" while the professionals danced around. Derulo showed his talent with this one. Boy can he sing!
The last two couples were brought out. Audrina and Tony were congratulated as they will return again next week but this left Florence and Corky to join the other two in jeopardy.
The jeopardy round begins. Jennifer and Derek are saved the worry and told they were safe. Good thing too, it would have been a shame to see such good talent go home early. Rick and Cheryl are the next to take a step back into the competition.
This left Florence and Corky with the lowest votes.
Florence was amazing for her age and really pushed herself to do well. Do you think she deserved to go home?
