A major event in my life was:
Being nearly killed while in the Marine Corps. It caused me to acknowledge my own mortality and that stupid people can get you killed. Developed anger issues, anxiety, depression, and a fuck it all attitude that pretty much consumed me throughout my 20s thru 40s.

Published author of more than a dozen books on military history

My anger, trusting people too much, poor organization, taking on too much.
The personality traits I most like about myself are:
My writing, loving, humor, honest, ethical, always trying to help people. Wishing I had the opportunity to do more for others.
The personality traits I like least about myself are:
See the last two entries as the can be blessings and a curse at the same time. "Putting too much on my plate." I get frustrated when things are incorrect whether it political, social or historical.

Been married to the same person for 30 years and, from a family of nine children, I'm the only one to accomplish such a feat.
