About Me

A major event in my life was:
I was a former "Major" Deputy Sheriff in Oklahoma and I has an opportunity to serve my country as an Anti-Terrorist Explosive Detection k-9 Handler in Kandahar Afghanistan in 2004-2005. I and 15 other dog handler teams were embedded with the US Military at the Kandahar Airbase, to provide explosive detection protection from local national vehicles coming onto the base. Two handlers at a time were in charge of protecting over 5000 coalition forces. I also served in Iraq in the same capacity.
The accomplishment I am most proud of:
When in Afghanistan, I was assigned to a US Special Forces Unit to guard their camp from a possible attack from a motorcycle with explosives. This was the intelligence that we were informed of. The 3rd day I was protecting the gate, a motorcycle tried to gain access to the camp. My dog alerted on the motorcycle. The driver was detained while a search was done. The motorcycle was found to have C-4 plastic explosive packed inside the frame. By my dog finding the explosives, we saved over 50+lives
My favorite Movie:
Dirty Harry trilogy
My favorite TV Show:
Married with Children
My best Physical Trait is:
My eyes
Topics off limit to me at a party are:
Due to bad issues occurring in Afghanistan and Iraq, I do not talk about my specific events, or what I saw and did while there.
Do I have tattoos or piercings:
None. But I would like to get a tattoo on each upper arm, with the round copy of the patch were were issued overseas. "Operation Enduring Freedom" and "Operation Iraqi Freedom"
The weirdest thing about me is:
From being a peace officer for so long, when I am in a room with people, I just sit and listen to people talk. I learn a lot about people when I just allow them to talk.
My friends would say my best qualities are:
Kind, sincere, loyal, caring, helpful, strong natural leader, arrogant, empathetic, sympathetic, protective.
My friends would say my worst qualities are:
Hard to get close to. Never forgets, yet can't remember what was said the same day. Moody, narcissistic. Self Centered.
The personality traits I most like about myself are:
The sincere desire to help people in need. I started out my career as a Emergency medical Technician/paramedic. Then I went to school and became a Oklahoma Certified Peace officer and became a tribal police officer, all the way up to the rank of Major of the K-9 unit, so i could still help the citizens of our county.
The personality traits I like least about myself are:
Lack of ability to remember names and faces. Getting older, when I still feel like I am in my thirties.
Miscellaneous Information:
I was a professional photographer/videographer for the law enforcement agencies I worked for. i still do some video/directing locally.
