I broke my neck at the age of 15 while training for nationals in gymnastics. I am a quadriplegic and have been determined from day 1 to never be limited by the ideas anyone else has of what I am capable of. I have been sitting down for nearly 22 years and because of my different view on the world am probably the most optimistic and joyful person I know. I strive to make of myself an example of fortitude and positivity and inspire those I meet everyday by my lifestyle.

I am most proud of my children, Sarah (11), and the twins, Megan (6) and Allison (6). We are raising intelligent, compassionate and independent children who try new things and rejoice in daily accomplishments. They all follow mine and my husband's love of art and creating and love to learn. They cook and are learning instruments. I am amazed daily by the perspective they have on their world and love to share the joy of small things with them.

That's hard because I don't really get embarrassed...

My eyes.

Nothing. I tell people to ask me anything but be sure you want to know the answer, lol!

I have my ears pierced. I used to have 10 pierces in each ear and my tongue but I let those close up. I can't imagine being so in love with an image I could tattoo it on myself permanently. My hair, for example, is a different color almost every time you see me!

The "weirdest" thing about me is probably that I am EXCEEDINGLY outgoing, mush more so than anyone else I've ever met.

People tell me all the time that I am extremely positive and uplifting. My friends like how creative and honest I am as well.

I am very competitive and sometimes am late or forget to do things because I'm overly focused on one task.

I think I am very helpful and creative. I'm always looking to make other peoples' lives easier or happier. I also never give up. I will also defend people from injustice whenever I see it.

I do not always appreciate how my stubbornness leads me to conflict with my oldest daughter. I struggle a lot with that.
