Since the age of nine, I have been involved in public speaking groups and competing in oratory contests. As am adult, I have been a member of Toastmasters International, an international public speaking and leadership organization. I have taken some drama courses, however, I have preferred to work behind the scenes with the planning and execution of various entertainment, sports and theatrical productions.

In 2009, one of my track athletes, who was extremely popular, died unexpectedly during practice. I had the unfortunate duty to go to the hospital and identify as well as meet the parents. Additionally, I ended up planning and putting on a memorial service for 1600 people in less than 48 hours. That horrible situation showed me that no matter how hectic the circumstances, I always manage to rise to the occasion. Therefore, I never let obstacles stand in my way.

I am most proud of becoming a sports analyst on a weekly sports internet radio show. The name of the show is In the Game.I started out being the assistant to a retired NFL player booking his press engagements. However, as show producers got to know me, they felt that I was very knowledgeable about sports, they liked my voice and my energy. One thing leads to another and I started doing several different shows before I settled on this show.

I was coaching a basketball game and I became so fed up I thought it was halftime. So, I stormed off the court into the locker room. I was fuming and waiting for my team and after about 2 minutes I noticed they still had not come into the locker room. I stormed back out into the gym and I saw my team still standing on the sidelines. I gave them an evil look and one player whispered, "Coach, it's not half-time. It was only a time out" I was MORTIFIED! I looked down sheepishly and said, "Oh, ok".

My Shoulders

No topic is off limits.

I have a dragon and a phoenix on both of my shoulder blades. They can only be seen if I wear something that bares my shoulders and of course I have pierced ears.

I lived in Sweden for a year when I was Junior in high school as an exchange student. I love to go off the beaten path. The less beaten, the path the more I like it. Additionally,I am relentless when it comes to the pursuit of servant leadership and accomplishing tasks. In my eyes, FAILURE is NEVER an option. I am not a QUITTER and nothing matters but accomplishing the mission.

My friends would say my best qualities are loyalty, dependability, problem solving, research, and critical thinking skills.

My worst qualities are that I tend to be a perfectionist, I do not the patience to deal with people who waste my time, who act foolishly, or who are unwilling to do what they are supposed to do to get the job done.Therefore, I can and will be VERY hard on a person once I ascertain that the person has failed to accomplish their task and or live up to the standards that have been set forth. I do not and will not accept excuses of ANY kind. DO WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO!

I like my problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, leadership skills, communication skills (both oral and written, multi-tasking skills and my sense of humor.

I have a tendency to worry about things that I cannot control and that vexes me. However, I am working on that and I have made improvements.

I am an adventurous person. I will try anything (as long as it is legal and will not shame the family name). I consider myself a lifelong learner. I am not afraid of different cultures and I have traveled extensively overseas. There is a lot to learn and many people to learn from. You just have to be willing to get out there and explore.
