Today I spoke with Kail Harbick the 5th Houseguest eliminated from the Big Brother 8 house. Kail Harbick is a 37 year old Business Owner from McKenzie Bridge, Oregon. We had a great chat, I learned Amber has much more control over the house than I once thought. She explained from her insight why watching all prior season of big Brother may have hurt her in the game.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): Big Brother is one of the most popular reality shows aired in several countries around the world. Was this the first time that you applied had for the show.

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: I have wanted to be on the show for several seasons, I applied to season 5, 6, skipped 7 since it was the All Stars Episode and made it on Big Brother season 8.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): What did it feel like once you knew you were going to be part of the cast?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: It was a dream come true, I have been trying out for the show for several seasons, I kept up my persistence and made it into the house. I was excited and thrilled once I knew I actually had made it in

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): As you know Big Brother is in its 8th season. I know you applied for season 5, 6, and 8. Did you watch other prior seasons? If so, did it influence how you played?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: I have watched every season of Big Brother. It's funny but I don't think it was a good thing that I had watched all the prior shows.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): Why is that?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: Since I had watched all prior Big Brother shows I had pre-conceived notions on how I would play the game with the other houseguests, but this year was a little weird. For example, and I hope this makes sense, In the Big Brother 8 house you don't want to use the term "alliance" you want to use the term "best friend." Amber set this "best friend" thing up in the beginning; she also set it up so that there would absolutely be no lying in the house. I should have gone into the house and felt it out more.

Mark (RealityWanted.com) It's funny that Amber said no lying in the house, yet she told Nick that she did not know that the LNC was going to vote him out.

Q. Mark: Who did you feel closest to in the house?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: I felt very alone, very alone in the house. Jen and I did connect at night and shared some pillow talk at night. I did feel I had a bond with Eric and I am very fond of Danielle but Dick took her away. paired off and once they did you could not get in.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): Speaking of Eric, what are your thoughts on Eric being America's Player?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: I love it, I love how America has input. Oddly enough Eric is only one who could pull it off. No one is suspecting that. He is naturally stressed out, so he is stressed out more than he should be. I like Eric, he is sincere, we're going to stay in contact after the show. I don't think I could do what he is doing, It has to be really hard, poor Eric.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): Who did you try and avoid in the house? Should I go out on a limb and say Dick?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: Yes, I walked on egg shells around him, you never knew when it was coming, or what his next blow up would be about.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): So why do you think Dick is still in the house? He is a strong player and has one of the strongest personalities. I would assume the rest of you would want to remove the stronger players.

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: Well, Danielle and Dick both won Head of Household. Dick was also safe from the first week of eliminations, and when Daniele had POV she took him off the block. People are also scared of him, but now since Jessica has HOH and the support of the house, I guess we will see if she will have guts to put him up. That brings up another difference in how the game is played this year. You need the house consensus this year in order to put someone on the block, that's another one of Amber's ideas. Amber sets the tone of the house and I don't know if that is shown on air. She is allowed to cry and mope but no one else can.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com: Do you think Amber's explosion upon Eric was justified?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: No, and I was the only one to console Eric afterwards.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): What's you best guess as to which two houseguests will be the last two standing. Which two would you like to see in the finals, and who do you think will win?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: Jameka will be in the final two even if she doesn't win. I would like Jen in finals. Jen is very smart and she knows what is going on in the house. She is strong but currently on slop and I am worried about her. I don't want to see Dustin, Amber, or Evil win. It would be great if Eric, Daniele or Jameka win, just not Jessica. Jessica doesn't do much in the house besides sleep and tan, This week will be the turning point for her now that she has HOH.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): If you could start over, what might you change if you could do it all over again?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: I would skip being in the "alliance". Here is why I carved out the "alliance" on day one. After I won the first HOH, everyone kept coming up to me telling me about the alliances that the other houseguests were in. One of the reasons I did it first was that I was alone and had to jump in on an alliance.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): Any final thought words for fans?

A. Kail Harbick , Big Brother 8: I just want to thank everyone for watching and hope they are having their fun.
