Project Runway Finale Part Two

Hey there reality addicts,   average Dennis here with a report on part 2 of the 2 part finale of Project Runway.    If you were like me, you were on the edge of your seat to see if Jillian, Rami, or Christian were going to impress with all of their ruffles, buttons and etc drapings.   The show started off by having the final 3 first show some of their final work to Tim Gunn and then go through their first casting of models for their shows. (They each needed 12 models)   Christian and Rami knew exactly what they wanted, but Jillian couldn’t seem to make any concrete model decisions and even when she did,, and wanted to correct herself ,, it was too late to make any changes. The finale at the actual showing at Bryant Park had a huge hall with a very very long runway.  The judges included the mainstays from all season (Michael Kors, Nina Garcia, Heidi Klum) with a special guest judge for the night Mrs. (Posh) Victoria Beckham. The order of showing was Jillian,, then Rami,,, and finally Christian.        The collections were all awesome,, however,,,   each finalist had criticisms given along with huge praises.   All critiques were given back at the Project Runway stage with just the judges and the finalists there. Jillian was great with attention to detail and intricateness but she lacked a cohesive thread throughout her whole collection.   Rami wowed with his use of threaded fabrics and draping expertise but was criticized regarding his use of “brady” like colors.   Christian was excellently dramatic with all his pieces, but a huge percentage of them were all black.      Jillian was let go first, and then with Christian already looking like he was crying, he was announced the winner.   Christian was also given huge praise by Mrs. Beckham telling him that he could design for her anytime.   What impressed this average Joe the most in this whole season, was that even in the midst of this highly competitive atmosphere, you got to see the hugs and friendships between them.(especially the final 3)

So kudos to a great season and for the time being kudos to our DVR’s/Tivos getting a teensy weensy break with 1 less reality show to keep track of!   Ta ta for now!!
