Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: What's up guys, thanks for taking the time to chat with us today. So let me start by asking you two how pumped you were when you ran up to Phil and he told you that you were team #1?

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: We didn't know we were in first place until we were 50 feet from the mat. None of the viewers got to see how turned around we were with our taxi rides so we had no idea if we had won or had came in last until roughly 50 feet from the mat.

A. Rachel: It was surreal and amazing to think just months before we had watched some commercials about applying for the race and not only did we get on, we won.

Q. Mark: Did you get your money yet and if so, what's the first thing you bought, if not what will you buy?

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: I am really excited since Rachel has always been a workaholic and now she may be able to take sometime to relax.

A. Rachel, The Amazing Race 12: This may sound kind of boring but the first thing we will both do is pay off bills then I may just make some updates to my wardrobe. I won't do anything crazy since we both live a modest lifestyle and I want to keep it that way.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: I have read articles where journalists and bloggers compare you to BJ and Tyler or at least are using the hippy term to ID you two. Did you guys watch their season and is the term hippy appropriate?

A. Rachel, The Amazing Race 12: I saw that season and rooted them on the whole time. I knew it would be easy for others to give us the hippy label based on how we dress. I loved watching them and of course how well they got along with one another.

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: I hadn't watched their season until after we were into the casting process. I guess if a guy has long hair you get the hippy label but I did enjoy watching them and how great they got along.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Well this next question has to do with how you all get along so well. You two seemed very calm and happy on the race while competitors like Nate/Jen and Ron/Christina and others were tearing into one another so much so that Nate and Jen were mad that you two were so happy? What's the secret and did it help you win?

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: I think a lot of time other racers looked at us as lackadaisical and easy going. We just really wanted to win and wanted people to underestimate us.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: So the easy going look was a little bit of game play?

A. Rachel, The Amazing Race 12: At times it was game play. When we were all at the airport and everyone was running around booking tickets and looking for the best flights all stressed out, we would carry a cool calm demeanor to throw them off.

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: After watching some of the prior seasons we noticed almost everyone that won got along well with one another but Rachel and I also had great team work.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Where was the coolest place you went to?

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: Croatia is like a honeymoon destination with an amazing coastline. My most memorable stops were in India and Africa, we were fortunate to see the real life poverty issues they both deal with on a daily basis.

A. Rachel, The Amazing Race 12: I agree with TK, Croatia was amazing and it's a different story to see poverty on TV and then see it with your own eyes.

Mark, RealityWanted.com: That's the great thing about The Amazing Race compared to other reality shows, I think Kynt said it was like national geographic.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: If you guys were invited to be on The Amazing Race All Stars but CBS said you must pick a teammate from your season but not your current partner who would you pick and why?

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: I would pick Don, Don is hilarious and everywhere we went he was cracking jokes and had so many stories to tell.

A. Rachel, The Amazing Race 12: Vxysin pops into my mind, I think she is a strong confident woman.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: What was the biggest surprise to you when watching the shows at home?

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: I was surprised that I was standing next to Azaria & Hendekea when Ron and Christina gave them helpful information on flights. I also missed the fact some people called for taxis from the planes before we got off.

I want people to know I didn't think it was morally wrong to use a U-Turn. It appeared that way on TV when Rachel and I were in Africa and could have used it on Lorena and Jason. It really just didn't make sense to use it since they were so far behind. It's part of game play and I would have used the U-Turn if it made sense.

Mark, RealityWanted.com: So we want people to know there is a harder edgy side to TK, not just the happy go lucky lackadaisical TK?

TK: (laughing) Exactly.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Let's go to last night and discuss the bath you took with the crabs. How long were you two bathing with the crabs and how many times were you bitten?

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: We were bitten hundreds of times and it doesn't come across on the show but we were waist deep in water and the crabs were stacked up to our waist.

Mark, RealityWanted.com: I'll keep it clean but as a male I don't know if it would be a great idea to be waste deep in a pool full of pinching crabs.

TK, The Amazing Race 12: (laughing) Seriously, I didn't expect to get so torn up by the crabs. It was a different experience I will remember, but in hindsight I'm not sure we picked the best option.

A. Rachel, The Amazing Race 12: We were in there for almost twenty minutes but when we picked it over cutting into the cod, it seemed extreme and different so we gave it a shot.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: What's next for you two and did this change your plans?

A. TK, The Amazing Race 12: Without a doubt this was life changing.

A. Rachel, The Amazing Race12: The experience in Africa helped us re- evaluate our material items since I had guilty feeling being here with so much. TK and I live a modest life, but this helped me look at what we have and what we really need. I lived out of a backpack for a month and I was just fine.
