Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Thank you for taking the time to chat with us today, where are you guys today?

A. Ron, The Amazing Race 12: It's funny you should ask. We are both in Tacoma, Washington right now but my daughter lives in DC and should actually be out there, but I will let her talk to you more about it.

A. Christina, The Amazing Race 12: I decided to surprise my parents, so I grabbed an early flight from DC and showed up on his doorstep to watch the finale together.

Q. Mark: Whose idea was it to try out for the race?

A. Ron, The Amazing Race 12: I thought it would be a lark to try out and we were very fortunate to be chosen. I thought about what enduring qualities we had to offer the show since I'm not very photogenic and wondered if they would want to put a couple of boring people from WA on air.

A. Christina, The Amazing Race12: When season five aired my Dad had me watch it and tuned me into a die hard fan. We wanted to try out together so my Dad said he would after I finished my masters. So I went downstairs on our whiteboard and wrote "Amazing Race 2007" and we made it.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Christina, did you plan on using this adventure to bond closer with your father, and Ron what drove you to want and try out?

A. Ron, The Amazing Race 12: I wanted to win 1 million dollars to relieve some debt but building the relationship with my daughter was the most important aspect of this adventure. We never spent that much time with one another and being with her 24/7 was an eye opener for us both.

A. Christina, The Amazing Race 12: It was definitely a little of both bonding and winning. My parents gave up their dreams to allow my sister and I to pursue ours which didn't allow them to spend much time with us.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Ron, after watching all the episodes what did you learn about yourself and your relationship with your daughter?

A. Ron, The Amazing Race 12: I certainly did learn a lot, I realized how to calm down in stressful and fatigued situations. I was always trying to do the best for us and keep us in the game but it came out the wrong way, my delivery sucks. I have learned to be a bit more uplifting and less critical. I am not proud of how I acted in Amsterdam, when I yelled at Christina, I just didn't want to be one of those father and daughter teams that get eliminated quickly. After Amsterdam we had an epiphany of a conversation at the pit stop. I am a work in progress and trying to make changes.

A. Christina, The Amazing Race 12: The leg in Amsterdam was pivotal for us, we were facing elimination, stressed out, and running on almost no sleep. After we hit the mat and talked a little with Dr. Phil we started to change our tune and work better with one another.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: It did look like you two started to get along a bit better as the season progressed. So you had a melt down in Amsterdam, tell us what your favorite stops were during the race.

A. Ron, The Amazing Race 12: I thought the loveliest city was Dubrovnik.

A. Christina, The Amazing Race 12: Mark, it was so funny, the day before we went to Dubrovnik my dad was opening the clue telling us what our next stop would be and he said I really hope we can go to Croatia. I loved Burkina Faso, I have never been to Africa and the people were so nice and always smiling. We made such good friends while we were there, that we decided to auction off some of my dads shirts and give the money to a charity in Africa. You can view the auction here http://www.ebay.com/ronchris-tar

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Very cool I will mention the link on our site as well. Let's chat about the very end of last night's season finale. You guys had the lead for about of the show. Was it the final puzzles that lead to your coming in second place?
A. Christina, The Amazing Race 12: OK, as far as timing I finished the road block 5 -8 min after Rachel did. What viewers did not see was how our cab driver took us 40 minutes out of the way, which really hurt us. When we hit the finish line our friends said we were 15 minutes behind TK and Rachel. In terms of the final road block when I started I was very confident since I had every detail of the race in my memory and also took notes along the way. It was painful watching it last night and seeing just how close I was to completing the puzzle the first time, but then started to doubt myself, and started to mess things up.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: It is hard for viewers to know how quickly or how long certain things take to do in the race. I have one final fun question for you. If you had to pick one other racer to race with next season out of the entire cast who would you pick besides your current partner and way?

A. Ron, The Amazing Race 12: I would go with Azaria or Hendekea.

A. Christina, The Amazing Race 12: I would probably pick Hendekea, I think we would be the first female team to win race.
