CNBC's new primetime series, "Cleveland Hustles" is set to premiere on August 24th. NBA superstar and executive producer of the series, LeBron James and his longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter will give four up and coming local entrepreneurs the chance to realize their own dreams while also helping to revitalize a neighborhood in Cleveland," according to a CNBC press release.
LeBron and Maverick, with the help of host B. Bonin Bough and four other successful entrepreneurs from the Cleveland area will provide the opportunity of a lifetime to these fledgling entrepreneurs with financial backing, expert advice and a storefront to launch their business.
An initial local search produced 8 up and coming entrepreneurs selected from 20 who pitched to the investors. Each investor has selected 2 businesses to further investigate. "Over the course of the season, we'll see if these 8 entrepreneurs "have the ambition, creativity, and hustle necessary to succeed -- and in so doing, help a neighborhood rebuild," from the press release.
"Cleveland Hustles" series premieres on Wednesday, August 24 at 10 pm ET on CNBC.
