The former "Bachelor" Ben Higgins and his fiancée Lauren Bushnell have accepted the rose from Freeform to star in their own "Bachelor" spin-off series, "Ben and Luaren: Happily Ever After."
The new reality TV series will document "the happy couple as they prepare to walk down the aisle and begin their brand-new life together while navigating the real world after the splendor of "The Bachelor"'s exotic dates and fantasy suites has ended," according to a Freeform press release.
Amid wedding planning, Ben is exploring a future of involvement in the political realm and Lauren and working hard at establishing her own identity post-"Bachelor."
This announcement brings up confused emotions. Is this weird? There has never been a "Bachelor" spin-off, and why Ben Higgins? Was anyone thrilled that he picked Lauren over JoJo? The series is scheduled to premiere in October.
