Joshua Waring, 27, the son of former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star, Lauri Peterson, was arrested yesterday on attempted murder charges in the shooting of a man on Monday.

The Los Angeles Times reported Waring was arrested for allegedly shooting a 35-year-old man in the lower torso at a home around 2:30 am. A witness identified Waring, but informed police he'd fled in a stolen BMW SUV. About 8 hours later, Waring was arrested after a police chase and brief standoff.

Waring was booked at an Orange County Jail for charges of suspicion of attempted murder, vehicle theft, felony evading police, hit-and-run and assault and battery. His bail was set at $1 million.

The wounded man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.

Lauri was a #RHOC housewife for 4 seasons an left to focus on her son and deal with his problems. Last year, Lauri told Bravo's The Daily Dish, "As most of the viewers know, I have a son and he's had just a lot of challenges. And he and his wife had a baby almost three years ago. He's really struggling and, well, they're both really struggling. And so [my husband] George and I elected to help out and we actually adopted Kennedy, and so we're raising her."
