Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Val's brother and Season 18 champion, is guest judging along with the regular panel of judges. And it's swap week! For some reason this always shakes up both the pros and the stars with jealousy and jitters. America gets to chose the partners so it's no surprise Lindsay and Whitney directly switch. It seems that switch ups make pros cheer for their original partners and then for themselves, there's not much chemistry with the new, temporary, partners.
Wanya and Whitney - Tango - 30/40
Kim & Keo - Viennese Waltz - 28/40
Doug & Peta - Tango - 28/40
Ginger & Mark - Salsa - 32/40
Antonio & Karina - Cha Cha - 26/40
Paige & Sasha - Rumba - 31/40
Von & Lindsay - Jive - 29/40
Nyle & Sharna - Viennese Waltz - 39/40 or maybe 37/40... who really knows?
Jodi & Val - Paso Doble - 35/40
A huge kerfuffle about Nyle's scores... the graphics say 37/40, but THREE judges yelled and held up "10" paddles. So it should be a 39/40. Rigged? Pre-scored? WHAT'S THE DEAL??? Apparently the judges write down scores after the dance and it's turned into production. That is the score regardless of what paddle they hold up. Mmm, hmmm.
There's no doubt Len and Maksim (Maksim being the toughest) were hard on the couples. Maybe the scores will reflect America's votes? Guess we will find out next week because there is no elimination this week. Scores from last week and this week will determine who heads home.
