Philladephia is the first stop for auditions this week. Remember Clay Aiken's rant against American Idol? It wasn't felt months ago when these auditions were held because he's happy to participate and encourage the contestants. Hmmm.

First up is Gianna Isabella, 15, daughter of Brenda K. Starr ("I Still Believe" 1987) sings "House of the Rising Sun." Even without her mother being famous, Gianna is a beautiful singer and worthy of her golden ticket.

Derek Huffman, 21, sang Shaggy "Angel." Unfortunately his boom box accompanying him doesn't help and he's told a stern "no" from all three judges.

Isaac Cole, 15, sang Lee Brice "Crazy". Are we sure he's only 15? He looks 12 sounds 30. Harry says don't force the twang because you're not from the south. Um... neither is Keith Urban. Although the judges don't necessarily think he's ready, he convinces them to let him through.

Sara Sturm, 17, sang Meghan Trainor "Lips Are Movin'". A resounding YES, especially after all of the hopefuls that were turned away and acted out in disappointment.

Ellis Banks, 25, sang Lady Gaga "Born This Way". He brought with him a bedazzled bunch of clothing and a "Jesus hairpiece" which is basically a shiny wig (even giving some to the judges). Strangely he is told no, despite his being so eclectic.

Jenn Blosil, 23, sang Imagine Dragons "Radioactive" on the piano (even though she brought along her guitar). This self proclaimed "quirky" girl is exactly that. A little difficult to handle at first but she grows on you. Very good, actually. A "YES" from all 3 judges.

Harrison Cohen, 17, sang an original song. His gramps may have taught him dating advice but his almost creepy flirting while singing does actually remind you of an 80 year old. A golden ticket for Harrison.

John Arthur Greene, 27, sang Keith Urban "Somebody Like You". John was the tissue needing story of the night, there's always at least one. His brother died when they were children as they played an innocent game of cops and robbers. The judges were obviously moved but that didn't change Harry's vote to yes. However, he only needs two votes to go through and JLo and Keith had "YES" on John's side.

Off to Little Rock and Denver.

Amber Lynn, 28, sang Alan Stone "Unaware" with her friend James accompanying on guitar. James VII also auditioned and sang John Legend "Sun Comes Up". James got called out for rushing the song but nonetheless they both get golden tickets.

Emily, 25, sang Jo Dee Messina "Bring On The Rain". Not fantastic so the judges give their first rejection of the night. Back to being a professional auctioneer.

CJ, 28, sang Hall & Oates' "You Make My Dreams Come True." The musician struggle is real, but it may be paying off... he gets through.

Ethan, 15, sang Allman Brothers "Stormy Monday". Although very young, JLo and Keith send him to Hollywood, while Harry think's he's definitely not ready (but he does say that Ethan is meant for nothing else other than being a Blues musician). How about how constantly polite Ethan is?? Adorable.

Mary, 23, sang Tammy Wynette's "Til I Can Make It on My Own". Surprise! Mary's got a voice on her! Judges sent her through. I don't think JLo is in love with super southern girls.

Xavier, 26, sang Garth Brooks "Friends In Low Places". He got the judges to play basket ball but it's a "no" to go through. He didn't sound horrible but it wasn't a good show of his voice.

Terran, 18, sang Pharrell's "Happy". Very nice rendition but isn't there a better song to choose to show off your talent? Either way, it's three "YES".

Blue, 23, wasn't so lucky, even though she came up with a song off the top of her head... as in she wrote a song standing in front of the judges. She said the wind blew her in, guess it's blowing her out. Do you think if she had magenta hair her name would be "Magenta"?

Thomas Stringfellow, 17, sang Ed Sheeran "Give Me Love". They loved his style, but it sounded like he was trying to be cool but maybe he is actually original. He's through.

Tank, 29, Luther Vandross "Superstar". They let him sing for a long while so they must have enjoyed his performance. He gets a golden ticket.

John Wayne Schulz, 27, (from season 10) came back to tribute his mother who lost her battle with cancer. It was between him and Scotty McCreery when he got sent home, but it turned out to be a blessing because his mother only had a few months left so he was able to be with her. He sang, "The Dance" by Garth Brooks. Three "YES" from the judges. Here's to second chances.

Leah, 24, Aretha Franklin "Chain of Fools". In the nicest way possible, it was horrible. A definite "no".

Did you remember that Tori Kelly once auditioned for Posh Spice on American Idol? She "wasn't ready" then but look who's a chart topper now.

Jordyn, 15, and Rhea, 15, both got through to Hollywood despite their very young ages. It seems 15 is the popular age group this farewell season.

Jake, 22, sang a Kenny Loggins song. The plumber's assistant was not quite great but very good... through to Hollywood.

Ashley Lillinoemaineleipuananiokaloni-Adams-Soderbergh (nope, I didn't get that wrong), 20, sang "Black Velvet". It's unclear if she's Hawaiian or high, but her laid back style is perfect for her version of Black Velvet. Awesome guitar playing, by the way. Golden ticket for Ashley.

Andrew, 20, from Moscow, sang Adele "Make You Feel My Love". Adele is always a winner. He's very good, and very technical.

Elvie, 27, sang "House of the Rising Sun". He is the sob story of the night, with a past full of drug use and desperation. He started off shaky, but the judges called it "great sounding"... golden ticket for Elvie.
