The Biggest Loser’s Double Elimination Interview with Hope and Whitney

It's just week 2 of "The Biggest Loser: Temptation Nation" and Monday night we watched the first double elimination of the season. With Dolvett's team losing the first weigh-in, Whitney Clay was eliminated, and later Jen's team lost the second weigh-in and Hope Wright was sent home with the most elimination votes.

Whitney and Hope shared their experiences and what they learned in a post elimination interview. Here's what they had to say:

Q: What do you feel your experience being on the Biggest Loser has taught you?

Whitney: My experience on the Biggest Loser has taught me that it's okay to step out of your comfort zone. And good things happen outside of your comfort zone.

Q: What advice would you give to viewers who want to live a healthier lifestyle?

Whitney: I would say one step at a time. You know, you don't want it to be overwhelming...I think in a real-world scenario, you need to take things one step at a time...don't get frustrated. Just keep moving forward.

Hope: Everybody is thinking, "I'm going to start Monday." Well, starting Monday doesn't help a lot of people...honestly; it got to the point where I never would do it.

Q: What has been the greatest challenge since being home and continuing on?

Whitney: I think the biggest challenge for me was definitely in the beginning, it was the nutrition side of things. You know, I was like, "Oh, well, I can just have a little bit of this or I can just have a little bit of that...right now I'm not in the maintenance (stage) of my weight loss. So that could definitely make me snowball.

Hope: My biggest thing coming home was not having Colby. We don't do a lot of things apart...But it got to a point where probably about two weeks in, when I was at home...I thought, "You know, I can't do this for Colby and I can't do this for my mom, and I can't do this for my sisters." Like, I actually have to do this for Hope...it was like turning a leaf for me, like I had a whole new mindset about it.

Q: Whitney, the Red Team seemed like they felt disconnected with each other and with Dolvett. Did you feel like Dolvett gave you what you needed to succeed off of the ranch?

Whitney: I think everyone deals with a different type of training method. You know, some people receive the type of training method that Dolvett was giving and some peopled don't. I think the majority of our team was resistant to the method...versus the other team where, you know, their trainer, she would explain things more to them. There was more of a loving environment, I guess you could say... And there was tension in our team because we hadn't really jelled at that point.

Q: Hope, how did you feel working with Jen? Did you learn a lot from her that you were able to take home with you?

Hope: Oh, I learned a lot. Jen was probably like the greatest asset I had coming home. I mean, she was always behind me... my favorite line was, "No matter who goes home, I'm with you 100%."

Don't miss an all-new episode of "The Biggest Loser" Monday night on NBC. Find out who is eliminated and Reality Wanted will have another interview next week with the next eliminated contestant.
