Kate Plus 8: Florida Fun

Kate and her crew are still on summer vacation in Florida. Side note: can you imagine the cost of sunscreen this amount of children would use?

What better way to enjoy sand than to build a sand castle? Did you know that someone can teach you how to build a sand castle with your family? First step: sand. Second step: water. Third step: stir. Fourth step: tap. One has to wonder, is Kate all about team building or is she all about busy work? Either way, this group activity got another thumbs up from the kids (not the sassy teens).

Before the kids left their house they knew to pack a "messy outfit" because they all knew their mother would have a messy activity for them on vacation. Never to disappoint, Kate plans a tie-dyeing afternoon.

Next up, deep sea fishing... and sea-sickness. Kate really loves fishing and boats, her children always get sick on boats. But that does not deter 5 of the little kids from joining her. "You tell yourself that getting sick is not an option." I don't think mind over matter works in this particular situation, Kate. Good thing she brought ginger ale, extra shirts, beach towels and vomit bags. They were needed. Back at home, Mouthy Mady and her twin are making dinner for everyone because they are self-proclaimed culinary greats. When the adult in the room suggests meat, Mady brings out the feist and exclaims that this meal will be vegetarian. Period.

Did you know the kids have never been to a waterpark? Kate's germophobia paired with a fear of submersion means the kids have missed out. Mark it off the bucket-list, the kids had a blast! Maybe not as much fun as Alexis had at the alligator show when she volunteered to be a part of the presentation.
