The first exercise is to write two letters: the first an anger letter and the second a love letter. But make no mistake, these letters will resurface to haunt the couples later. Exercise two is where the couples are separated into two groups. Group 1 is put into a situation where they read their love letters to witnesses at what seems to be a wedding. But the spin is that their partner (Group 2) is "dead" and lying in a coffin behind them. The lesson is that any words you say could be the last words your loved one hears from you.

Althea and Benzino - Benzino slept on the couch for his first night in the mansion because of the fight he had with Althea after seeing their negative quotes all over their bedroom walls. Seriously every single thing is arguable to them. Althea feels that when Benzino is mean, she has to be "overly mean" in return. Benzino wasn't able to shut his own mother's coffin when she died because he was shot by his nephew. Since he hasn't really dealt with her death, it is affecting his relationship with Althea. Judge Toler's (Divorce Court) evaluation is that Benzino is dismissive, derogatory, unkind and demeaning towards Althea. This causes Benzino to lose his mind and walk off set.

Catherine and Sean - Why is it that every time Sean and Catherine do their confessionals they look so smug? While they are the most "normal" couple here, it would appear that they may have the most work to do. Judge Toler's (Divorce Court) evaluation is for Sean not to be weakened by emotion.

Sarah and Ink - These two think they're biggest problem is that they didn't have sex for the first time now that they're in the mansion. They also feel that the other couples' issues are "petty"... says the couple having consistent threesomes with Ink's ex girlfriends. Ink shuts down when dealing with his emotions and needs to learn how to open up. Judge Toler's (Divorce Court) evaluation is that Ink needs to show Sarah more respect.

Sundy and Cedrik - Sundy wants everyone to stay out of their relationship but she has no problem snarkily talking about how the other couples are behaving. Once Ink disrespects Sundy, Cedrik finally approaches and stands up for his wife. Only to have Benzino lose his mind on Sarah. But Sundy agrees to work on her self-hatred so they can work on their relationship together. Judge Toler's (Divorce Court) evaluation is that Sundy is immature.

Mama June and Sugar Bear - By far the funniest and most real couple in bootcamp. Their redneck humor relieves the tension we feel from all of the fighting between the other couples and the group. June just wants Bear to make some changes and Bear wants to do anything June asks of him. Judge Toler's (Divorce Court) evaluation is that June needs to stop the focus on fame and start focusing on blame.
