Dancing With the Stars: Semi-Finals

It's the semi-finals aka popcorn and tissues night! Lengthy and emotional packages, a style not yet done, a trio and a dance-off (winner gets 3 points added to their score) all make up this week's episode. Even though Tamar made it to her group performance last week, escaping disqualification, she is noticeably absent once again. She has been diagnosed with blood clots in her lungs and will not be returning to Dancing With The Stars. Not shockingly, however, it would appear that Bindi is the favorite. Obviously by her brother, but by fans, too? However, you can't count out an American hero (with his first perfect score). This should be interesting.

First Round - Couples:
Bindi and Derek - Salsa - 27
Alek and Lindsay - Waltz - 30
Carlos and Witney - Contemporary - 28
Nick and Sharna - Tango - 24

Second Round - Dance-Off:
Bindi and Derek vs Nick and Sharna - Samba - WINNER BINDI (total midway score 30)
Carlos and Witney vs Alek and Lindsay - Cha Cha - WINNER CARLOS (total midway score 31)

Third Round - Trio:
Bindi and Derek with Mark - Jazz - 30 (total for the night is 60)
Alek and Lindsay with Emma - Argentine Tango - 27 (total for the night is 57)
Carlos and Witney with Karina - Charleston - 29 (total for the night is 60)
Nick and Sharna with Peta - Salsa - 30 (total for the night 54)

Next week is a two night event with Tuesday being a two hour finale. Competing for the mirror ball trophy is: EVERYONE because Tamar dropped out. More specifically, Alek and Lindsay were the first announced as safe, then Carlos and Witney... meaning Bindi and Derek as well as Nick and Sharna are "in the bottom". Ha!
