Julie is hosting a shooting weekend for the Ladies in Buckinghamshire. She normally keeps her distance from the traditional way of doing aristocratic things, especially being vegetarian, but one must look the part when going shooting. According to Caroline's sister-in-law, it is a "civilized pursuit". Aka hunting. According to Caroline Stansbury it's an honor to be invited however she decides to stay in bed rather than shoot, blaming the Gift Library stress.
Marissa is trying to apologize to Caroline Flemming for accusing her of being a cradle robber. Although, she is. Marissa has apparently been a friend of Caroline's sister for years, yet the two haven't really been together much. Apparently Marissa felt a little more comfortable with the silly jokes than Caroline was ready for. Plus the incident with the younger boyfriend throwing Marissa out of the shared car and you've got one great dramatic situation. If you ask Caroline F., no one was pushed out of a car anyways. The fact that anyone is overly concerned with or offended by the fact that people date someone younger is unbelievable. How is this a big issue? Maybe the real question is, if it's really as big of a deal as it's made out, how has Caroline F. kept herself from shooting Marissa at the pheasant hunt. Not to worry, she'll just have at it during dinner. Once the apology is out, both promise to move on. Yeah right... does anyone actually believe that?
