The WWE Total Divas returned last night with their fourth season. I will confess, I've never watched the show before, so it's my first time covering it. Seasoned watchers bear with me, beginners welcome!
Of all the Divas, the most popular are the Bella twins, Nikki and Brie. Since they are so popular, they hold the top spot and are the most revered of all the ladies. Now why would anyone want to leave all that fame? Simply to live their life. One of them wants to start a family and the other just wants to not have to train 8 hours a day and then perform in a show. I can't blame either of them.
While the twins were struggling with the reality of their decision, the other girls caught wind of their possible retirement and began plotting to get the top spot. They all wanted to re-invent themselves and create a fresh character so they could shine. Nattie in particular made no qualms about discussing her ideas for a new PG Dominatrix persona, even in front of the twins. She promised to keep the costume and actions TV friendly, and she even hired a real life dominatrix to help her get into character.
Nattie might have plans to fill the top spot, but its Eva Marie who's getting backing from producer to steal the limelight. She was sent out of town for special training, and the other divas were NOT happy about it. After hearing that she was being talked about, she posted a passive aggressive post on social media, and sure enough this led to a firestorm when she returned. Honestly the other ladies seem to be acting really petty. It's not her fault if she's talented.
If the Bellas actually leave, this fight for the top spot could get really ugly! Stay tuned!
