I have this theory that new housewives, especially the particularly aggressive ones, always try to make a splash on the show. It solidifies their spot for the next season, and I'm sure that they also want to make a preemptive strike before the producers convince another cast member to attack them. On Monday's episode of RHOC, Meghan reinforced this theory for me.
After attacking Shannon about not helping her with the charity, and lamenting on how she should have put everything aside because you know, it was charity and that was the most important thing, Meghan decided to uninvite Shannon from the charity party. Except she never called to tell her.
So the day of the party, Shannon is chattering away to everyone about her plans to get ready, and Tamra had to break it to her. Needless to say, she was stunned and hurt. Despite her argument with Meghan, Shannon didn't deserve that.
So let's be real. I'm quite sure that Shannon did give Meghan an attitude about her phone call regarding the charity. She and Mark were having problems, and he was flirting with Meghan at a party. That would rub anyone the wrong way. With that being said, she could have shown Shannon a little more compassion. I feel like she singled Shannon out because she's the weakest link. Not fair.
After Meghan's mean girl action was out in the open, Vickie refused to go and everyone else tried to get Meghan to reconsider her actions, even Heather. She flat out refused. I would consider this Meghan's first big splash, and likely one of many fights that she's involved in. She just showed us her housewife style - ruthless.
Stay tuned to see what happens next!
