Brad samples a few of the hot contestants in this week's episode of the Bachelor. While each girl hopes that he is secretly pining over her, and uninterested in the others the lucky Bachelor gets to take his pick from the group of single women who all want him, presumably for his charm and undeniable good looks. It has yet to be seen whether there are women in the pack who are in it for the fame, but it seems that there is always one girl whom the others accuse of having ill' intentions. It appears that they all find a way to pinpoint at least one bad quality about the girl he lavishes attention on in each episode. Bettina is one of the main targets. Bettina may be a genuine woman looking for love. She may be a conniving, seductress who is only self motivated and will do anything to destroy her female competition.

Whatever she may be, the other girls hate her because Brad is obviously very sexually attracted to her and women know how powerful and dangerous such physical chemistry is. It is especially threatening when each women only has a short period of time to win the man's heart, which means that not only do they have to be on their best behavior, Brad has to want them pretty badly to keep them on the show. The other women know that Brad wants Bettina, as she does. When the first date box comes and it is for Bettina, DeAnna makes it clear that she believes this divorcee is playing the �innocent' Brad. Supposedly, Bettina is pretending to be secretive and refusing to open up so Brad will find her intriguing beyond her physical appearance and want to keep her around. Don't all women play games with men on some level when they first begin dating? I wouldn't be surprised if DeAnna has a plan of action of her own. This show is a competition, not unlike the real world of dating. Regardless of what's going on inside Bettina's head, Brad obviously wants to get into it, and probably something else as well. He makes it clear that he is attracted to her, and he admits that he finds her perfect on many levels. Considering how much this sexy Bachelor is interested in her, even if she was a saint the other girls would hate her. It's like a grown up version of college or high school, where every girl hates the hottest girl in school.

Brad doesn't just unleash his down home charm and sex appeal on Bettina, so she shouldn't start planning her second wedding just yet. Because his brother was so impressed with Sheena, this girl has earned huge points with a man who obviously values family. What girl doesn't want the brothers to like them? It's just as important for a guy's brother to think you're hot, as it is for him to feel that way. Unlike the dates that the other girls have been privileged' to attend, Sheena got an experience that made the others cringe with envy. Not only did she get to choose a designer dress which allowed her to flaunt her figure and sense of style, she learned that Brad felt that she deserved this romantic night and dinner more than anyone else. This told her something about his feelings for her, while it infuriated Bettina as soon as she found out she had received the lesser date. The date with Sheena only reinforced the fact that Bettina, with all her confidence, does not have this man in the bag.

At the end of the night two girls were forced to leave, which was followed by the usual sobbing session. The departure of Kristy and Hillarie make two less girls for the others to compete with and a more intense fight between the remaining four.
