Less than two weeks after the premiere of Deadliest Catch season 11, Discovery Channel has announced the renewal of the popular crab fishing series, for season 12. It shouldn't come as any surprise as dedicated fans have produced incredible ratings once again. "In its most recent season premiere, which aired April 14, DEADLIEST CATCH placed first among all cable shows in key demos and led Discovery to finish as the #1 cable network in Prime," according to Discovery Channel.
From Original Productions, Deadliest Catch has won 13 Emmy Awards in its 11 seasons following the real life adventures of Alaskan crab fisherman out in the Bering Sea doing one of the world's deadliest jobs.
I guess we'll get to see Captain Jonathan Hillstrand as he moves forward with his new younger crew after he tells some of his older guys are retiring. Maybe it won't fun and games on the Time Bandit next season.
12 seasons of a Reality TV series with a recurring cast is quite an accomplishment and we couldn't be happier for the cast, crews and production for the renewal of Deadliest Catch's 12th season.
