RHOA - Peace Among the Peaches?

Hold the presses! Last night, the unthinkable happened on RHOA. Phaedra and Kenya made up! Forealz!

The ladies made good on their promise to sit down and hash it out, and right away I could tell it was different than any other time they attempted to make things work. First of all, they were alone in the room. Many times, ego can get in the way when you're attempting to smooth out a volatile situation, making for a nasty result. Secondly, they both seemed willing to have the conversation. Kenya has tried many times to reconcile, but Phaedra has never been receptive, something downright ignoring her.

As soon as they sat down, Kenya showed her vulnerable side, telling Phaedra how much she hurt her as a woman by calling her every whore and slut in the book. While watching Kenya lament over how much it affected her life, I had several thoughts. My first thought was, yea Phaedra did kind of slut-shame her while Apollo just got a stern talking to - a typical double standard. Then I remembered that up until Apollo accused of performing sexual acts to/with him, Kenya seemed to enjoy the flirting. Remember the pool scene? She sure didn't seem to mind Apollo's arms around her as she was tossed in the water. I hate to say this, but Kenya did bring at least at little bit of the negative backlash on herself.

Phaedra seemed all in at first, but she did make some statements that seemed a bit off during their conversation. First she gently reminded Kenya that she hadn't called her a whore this year, only Satan. Newsflash Phaedra - that really isn't much of an improvement. Then Phaedra kept it real and said that she wasn't sure about the "whole thing" with Kenya and Apollo, meaning that she still didn't believe him when he cleared her name. Although she admitted this, she confessed that she can't do anything about the past and said that she wants to start over with Kenya. Kneya should understand this - when she gets a husband, we'll all be lucky if she doesn't murder any woman who looks at the poor man twice, therefore she can't blame Phaedra for standing by her man. They shed some tears, prayed, and agreed to have a clean slate going forward. And the world breathed a collective sigh of relief!

Let's see if the peaches can get Queen NeNe to join in on their new kumbaya, zen attitude. Stay tuned!
