Stephanie Pratt is a 28 year old and is having a great life but she's lonely. Luckily (or unluckily) she has her brother and sister-in-law (Spender and Heidi Pratt) to help in her quest to find love. Stephanie likes bad boys but Patti is here to change her preference. Her exes would say it's impossible to make her happy so her first task is to cut those boys off. Her celebrity crush is Josh Duhamel.

Patti is looking for the guy next door for Stephanie, but can Heidi and Spencer really be a positive influence? Apparently there's no more men in LA because almost everyone Patti, Heidi and Spencer pick are foreign born. But Stephanie falls for Trevor, Flex Watch founder. His business gives back so he's definitely the good boy Patti wants for her. He even gives her a watch as a gift for their first date. "This is the best date I've ever been on!" Stephanie says of her time with Trevor. (They are in touch via text and phone. She is traveling in the UK but plants to get together with Trevor when she gets back.)

Kari Whitman is a 45 year interior designer old from Beverly Hills. She's looking for honest, easygoing love with passion and drive. She believes that since her career is important to her that she comes across as intimidating. She has been engaged four times and her last relationship lasted 11 years but has been over for more than a year. Task one is to write a letter to her exes telling them she will no longer be friends with them and burn it. Patti believes Kari is a "collector" and as long as the past is in the present, she won't find love. Her celebrity crushes are Ashton Kutcher and Tom Cruise (this comes in handy later).

To help Kari detox is Tracy Anderson to get in the feminine center energy. Letting go of the noise is top priority. Kari picks Emilio, a mixologist about 10 years her junior. For their date he takes her to an art studio because of her love of creating art and mixes her a cocktail later at dinner (the movie Cocktail anyone?). Emilio and Kari both had a great time together. (Kari's date helped bring romance back into her life. She can now separate her past from her current love life.)
