On last night's episode of RHOA, it appears that Ms. Phaedra Parks, mom to two and attorney of law, is beginning to come undone. 

 

Everyone knows that Phaedra fancies herself a true Southern belle, and holds steadfast to some of those south of the mason dixon ideals, namely keeping your private business to yourself. Not easy task when your husband violated the law in a very public way or when you've agreed to let Bravo's cameras follow you around. Phaedra has been very careful about remaining mum about her feelings regarding her husband, but when she went to Kandi's house to visit, Kandi wasn't having that. From the moment Phaedra sat down at Kandi's island counter, it was clear that Kandi wanted her to dish. Phaedra, ever composed for the cameras, remained calm but what she said in her confessionals gave away her true feelings:

 

Phaedra: "I think Kandi is just being a good friend, but if I wanted to talk about Apollo, I would go home and sit down with Apollo - if he was there" 

Translation: Why are you bringing all this up on camera? I don't want to discuss this. 

 

Besides questioning Phaedra about what was going on, she also had her cousin Melvin at the house to share his experience growing up with an incarcerated father. He urged Phaedra to tell her children the truth and to take them to visit their father, because he became angry when his family kept it from him and wouldn't have a relationship with him had he not been able to visit. Phaedra, who clearly has no intentions of taking her sons to a federal prison, grew skeptical of his point of view after learning that he had brushes with the law himself. If anything I think realizing that Melvin had been to jail solidified her decision because she didn't want to influence her babies. 

 

Phaedra: "I'm thankful that Melvin has given me such an invaluable advice, however, I'm not sure what the right solution is for our family. 

Translation: Nice try Kandi, but I'm not taking advice from a criminal - I have one of those at home. My kids will not be visiting a jail. 

 

She may have been trying to hide things at Kandi's, but there was no mistaking the tension between her and Apollo when he popped up at a social event. Phaedra was just hanging out with her girls, having a good time, when here comes Mr. Apollo. Clearly she did not know he was coming because her jaw just about hit the floor and then began the most uncomfortable scene in RHOA history. 

 

"Phaedra looks like she has seen a ghost. Aren't you happy to see your husband, Miss Souther Belle? Girl your slip is starting to show" - Cynthia

 

Apollo walked up to Phaedra like nothing has changed between them and forced her to kiss him. Then he sat across from her and insisted she change her seat to sit next to him. Not wanting to make a scene in public, she obliged, but things only got worse. He tried to act like the only way for him to talk about the state of their marriage was for him to pop up on her, but it was clear he only did that to embarrass her. 

 

Apollo forced Phaedra to let him hold her, and her body was so stiff you would have thought rigor mortis was setting in. It truly was painful to watch. Stay tuned for next week to see what's next for Phaedra and Apollo.
