Season six finalist Christina Grimmie and Raelynn from way back in season six both returned to perform their new singles. Christina is an obvious star, but Raelynn surprised me since she wasn't even a finalist. But hey, Blake said Nashville was excited about her, so maybe she'll actually be able to have a career. Her song "God Made Girls" was kind of catchy. After the newbie performances and some group ones, Carson got down to business. Saved in order of votes: 

 

Damien

Taylor John Williams

Craig Wayne Boyd

Matt McAndrew

 

This left Danica, Chris, Luke, and Ryan to sing their little hearts out to try and get instantly saved. 

 

Danica went with "I'd Rather Go Blind", Luke performed "Stand By Me", Ryan sang "We're in Heaven" and Chris chose "Georgia On My Mind." They all gave it their best effort, but only one of them could be saved. America chose to save Chris, so he'll be moving on to the semifinals. Super said to say goodbye to Danica Shirey but at least Ryan Sil is gone! 

 

Here is the remaining lineup:

Team Adam - Damien, Matt McAndrew and Chris Jamison

Team Gwen - Taylor John Williams 

Team Blake - Craig Wayne Boyd

 

Going to the semifinals Blake has Craig left, Adam has Damien, Matt and Chris, and Gwen has Taylor John Williams. Pharelll just gets to sit back and relax now that the pressure is off of him. I can't wait to see how good next week's performances are going to be. Stay tuned!
