Remember a few weeks ago when Carlton did The Carlton with his dance partner pro Witney? Yeah, it was everything we had all hoped for, and more! Well the 43 year old sustained a hip injury while working those hips a little too hard that night. He was able to overcome that injury, for the most part, or so we thought. Apparently while overcompensating for the hip injury, Alfonso has now injured his back on Wednesday. And it's bad.

Both serious and non serious injuries have been a part of Dancing With The Stars every season. Yet Carlton and partner Witney have been on top since the beginning, with several perfect 10's on their record, seemingly healthy all the way. It's no secret that he was on his way to winning that mirror ball trophy but now he may not be able to dance at all. He missed rehearsals on Thursday to have more tests done and it has been reported that he can barely walk. He and Janel Parrish have been on or near the top of the leaderboards every week... so does this mean that Janel will become the new fan favorite to win it all? Maybe according to scores but the other fan favorite beside Alfonso has been Tommy Chong.

While it remains to be seen if Alfonso will be able to dance on Monday night's semi-finals, Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd, Bethany Mota and Derek Hough, Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas, and Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy will no doubt be leaving it all on the floor. Let's hope for a speedy recovery.
