It's almost time for the first Duggar Daughter wedding (the last Duggar wedding was Josh and Anna over 6 years ago) and theres a lot left on the to-do list. Jim Bob and Michelle meet with Jill and Derek together on a weekly basis to check-in and help them prepare for marriage through counseling. This week the topic of finances. It's important to them to be transparent to their children about their own past failures so that they can lead by example.

Now it's time to fill that fixer-upper (Jill and Derek's first home the Duggars have redone) with furniture. It's a big house for just Jill and Derek but we all know that they plan to fill the other rooms quickly. For now they will be buying household items from an auction to save money. This correlates to their previous counseling session with the parents and saves them over $6,000. The purchases as follows:

Recliner $60
Refrigerator $180
3 Mattress/boxspring sets $330
Sofa/loveseat sets $405
Leather sofa $465
Washer/dryer set $500
Decorative accents $516
(The Duggars have enough framed pictures to fill an entire gallery at the Museum of Modern Art)
Additional furniture $545
Stuffed animal monkey $5
Total $3006

Having 18 brothers and sisters is a benefit when it comes time to move all of these items into the home. And now that she's living outside the Duggar home theres 18 less people to clean up after. That's got to feel freeing. The real question is, how do you go from cooking for 19 people to cooking for 2? Derek's solutions include freezing a lot of food and eating more. Ha!

Before they move in they have to get married. Before they get married they have to have a rehearsal dinner. This will include a reenactment of their proposal filmed and performed by the rest of the Duggar clan.

Josh, Anna and their kids are in town for the wedding and Josh has taken it upon himself to find the couple a getaway car... or truck. Did you know that Josh previously owned a car dealership? Well, friends of the family own it now and they have agreed to loan the car to the happy couple for their special day, no money exchange needed. What a sweet wedding gift!

If each Duggar had a wedding this big, the number of guests could fill Madison Square Garden.

Next week we get to watch the wedding... and lots of tears.
