Since last Sunday's episode the Utopians have welcomed a Newtopian, Ernesto. Ernesto hails from Cali and is a licensed contractor/plumber (has already installed Bella's water filter). His back story is that his wife of 17 years died four years ago from a heart attack.. It's pretty clear he's not looking for romance and instead calls his Utopia "a place of peace, prosperity and democracy". But it's not long before Shady Chef (Aaron) rags on all the other members of the group trying to recruit a new ally. Stay away, Ernesto!! Shady Chef and his sidekick Kristin are no good!

Amanda's few days of ruling are considered an oligarchy; a government or control by a small group of people. She announced herself, Dedeker and Rob as the final decision makers during her reign. To start off her time in office, she gives everyone a chance to be a head of a department via volunteering and it's not long before Bella is in tears over losing her precious garden. Once again Red isn't pleased with the new government and decides to secede... again. Remember the Utopia State of Freedom with ex-con Dave? Yeah, he's doing it again (because it worked so well the first time). Basically it means he will be in control of his own money and food. If you watch the live streams you know that Red eventually gets his time to shine.

Each month the Utopians will have to vote to select two existing Utopians to be targeted for replacement. The public (yes, you and me) will select a third pioneer we feel should be replaced (I know EXACTLY who I want to vote for!), then the group will vote off one of the three nominated. Seeing everyone there has such specific skill sets, they'll need to make their choice wisely. The public has until Saturday, September 27th at 9:00a pacific time.
