Jersey Shore star, Mike Sorrentino, aka "The Situation" has been indicted on tax fraud charges in federal court today. The indictment alleges that Mike and his brother, Marc, failed to properly pay taxes for almost $9 million in income.

The charges for the two brothers are "conspiracy to defraud the United States," facing penalties and fines up to 3 years in prison and $250k. In addition to this charge, Mike was also charged separately for not filing a tax return for the 2011 tax year, which could possibly be an additional $100k and 1 year in prison.

So, that's quite the situation for "The Situation." Money can't buy you brains is what this has come down to. It appears that Teresa and Joe Giudice are just the tip of the iceberg here. It's likely that will all of these reality stars with new found fame and fortune aren't all keeping tabs on their financials, which can have horrible consequences... case in point.

Teresa and Joe Giudice are just days away from their tax and bankrupty fraud sentencing, and now it appears the same fate awaits "The Situation" Mike Sorrentino and his brother.
