19 Kids and Counting: Jill Says Yes to the Dress

Tonight the Duggars are separating. Jim Bob, Derek (Jill's fiance), Ben (Jessa's boyfriend) and Jon David Duggar are headed to Horseshoe Bend Ranch in Jasper, AR for a guys trip while a few of the girls are with Michelle in DC wedding dress shopping for Jill's upcoming nuptials. While in DC Jill asks the girls to be her bridesmaids which includes her sister-in-law (by the time every Duggar gets married the girls will have worn 162 bridesmaid dresses). No shock that Janna will be the maid of honor, even though Jessa has been her right hand lady during their courtships. Janna has claimed several times during personal interviews that she and Jill are the closest. Goal of a modest wedding dress: high necklines, no plunging, sleeves. Before her dress fittings all the girls had letters to read to Jill but poor Joy Anna started crying and couldn't get herself together enough to read it aloud. Jill calls her a "live babydoll" because she was the one who took care of Joy Anna growing up. Because that's how the Duggars roll... elders taking care of youngers.

Jim Bob starts off the male bonding with some rock climbing (10 out of 19 Duggar kids have a fear of heights). Maybe this is his version of the shotgun... the threat of being thrown off a cliff by your future father-in-law. But the tables are turned when Jim Bob is the one too scared to jump, "Trying to see if they have what it takes to be a Duggar... I'm not sure I do." Ha, oh JB.

Random thought: the rule is that while courting you can only side hug, no holding hands until engagement and kissing and sex are forbidden until marriage. But can the boys kiss the girls anywhere else? Don't be dirty... I mean like forehead or hand.
