This week we went from the Top 8 to the Top 6 with two shocking eliminations on So You Think You Can Dance. Fan favorite Rudy, and beautifully talented Tanisha were both sent home from the competition.

 

When it was revealed that Tanisha was in the bottom two girls this week, So You Think You Can Dance judge and Executive Producer, Nigel Lythgoe said it would be a huge mistake if Tanisha is sent home.

 

It was a super emotional elimination for Rudy who seems to have been a front runner with fans for most of the competition. A gasp of silence came over the audience when it was announced he was eliminated. We had the chance to catch up with Rudy and Tanisha for and interview and here's what they said.

 

When asked who is calling to offer them their absolute dream dancing job...

Rudy: Justin Timberlake. {He added} I'd love to be part of the Newsies cast on the national tour.

Tanisha: Beyonce

 

We asked Rudy what happened when his favoritism on social media didn't correlate to the votes this week:.

Rudy: I really don't know what happened. But whatever it was, it was meant to be. So it's all good.

 

In regards to his emotional response after the elimination.

Rudy: In that moment... I was freaking because I've really been pushing and working the hardest of my ability. I would've wanted nothing more than to have made it to the finale. You know, I'm gonna be missing the wonderful friendships and relationships that I've made with these people.

 

DWTS announced next season's pro dancers and there are several SYTYCD cast memebers:

Rudy: It would just be an amazing opportunity

Tanisha: You know, I would definitely love to be part of Dancing With the Stars, whether I was just a troop dancer or a professional on the show. I think there's been a lot of possibility for that in my future. [Season 20, maybe Tanish?]

 

Both Rudy and Tanisha revealed they plan on packing their bags and moving permanently to Los Angeles to pursue their dancing careers.

 

The So You Think You Can Dance top 6 remaining dancers will perform on Wednesday at 8PM EST on Fox.
