Big Brother 16: Bomb Squad Out, the Detonators In #BB16

It's a new week in the Big Brother house! Last week, the house rejoiced after evicting Devin. And it's time for two new houseguests to take the power as the Head of Households.

The episode starts with the ending of the chicken wire comp. And I'm hoping for a Jocasta and Brittany win to shift the power and amp up the drama. Unfortunately, the BB girls just can't pull through even though Brittany and Jocasta had an early lead. Cody and Frankie edge past Zach and Amber for the win. Cody and Frankie are this week's Head of Households!

Cody winning HOH could mean that there is some hope for drama this week if he decides to make a big game move and put Caleb up. Let's not forget Cody knows that he's on Caleb's radar because of the whole Amber thing. Frankie winning HOH means that Cody nominating Caleb probably won't happen.

The HOH room reveal this week seems like it could be interesting. Will Frankie get a photo of his sister, Ariana Grande? Well, he does but it's a baby picture so the rest of the house is still clueless. Ugh.

Now we get to see former Bomb Squad members in the HOH room. Derrick, Cody, Frankie, Zach and Christine decide that the Bomb Squad is dead and gone. The five of them need to start a new alliance: The Detonators. Notice that Caleb and Amber are not included in this new alliance. Also, who wants to bet that this alliance last just as long as the Bomb Squad? It's like a new alliance everyday in this house.

Brittany pretty much knows that she's going to be a target this week. In fact, she goes and tells that to Frankie. At this point in the episode, I'm screaming at my TV for Brittany to stop talking. Anyone telling anything to Frankie can pretty much guarantee that whatever they say will be relayed to Zach, Derrick or in this case, Cody. That's right, Frankie tells Cody everything Brittany says, which upsets Cody. But Brittany doesn't stop there. She then tells Cody, to his face, that she's over it all. Brittany, please stop talking.

Before we move on to nominations and BOTB, I have to give a Team America update. Last week proved to me that this twist is a waste and this week probably won't change that. Frankie receives the mission, which states that they need to get a physical threat nominated for eviction. Clearly, America was voting with Caleb in mind but Derrick and Frankie immediately say that Amber qualifies. Did I mention that I'm over this twist?

Also, Bedgate happens. Apparently, no one wants to sleep with Victoria. Not sure if there is a houseguest named Victoria but I'll get back to you on that.

Nomination ceremony time! Cody went first followed by Frankie.

Cody

  • Victoria
  • Brittany

Frankie

  • Amber
  • Jocasta

Jocasta is up there as a backup target since Brittany is the main enemy this week. Oh and there's Victoria. She seems like she'll be important in an upcoming episode...very important. Amber is up there because she's Amber and Team America just got another 5,000 dollars. Again, I hate this Team America twist.

Next is BOTB and it's a throwback of a BB6 comp. It is a medieval chess game. The girls have to move on the board like a knight and can't step on the same piece twice. Amber and Jocasta emerge as the victors and Jocasta displays some interesting language. But seriously... I think she was speaking in tongue while sobbing. She seems happy, I think, but I'm not sure because who knows what she said. With BOTB over, that means Frankie is no longer HOH and Brittany and Victoria remain on the block.

Find out who wins the Power of Veto, Wednesday at 8/7c on CBS.
