According to the Duggar Family Blog and blog.theknot.com, Jill Duggar (23) and Derick Dillard (25) are getting married June 21, 2014!

Their courtship:
Derick and Jim Bob (Jill's father) became prayer partners after Derick relocated to Nepal for humanitarian work. Jim Bob eventually came to the idea that Derick and Jill would get along well and introduced the idea to Derick. After much prayer from both parties, the couple first spoke on the phone in March 2013 but didn't speak again until the following August. That conversation, however, lasted over five hours! Over the next few months they communicated via group text, email and skype... all viewed by Jill's parents, Michelle and Jim Bob.

Jill even considers her attraction to Derick as "love at first Skype". In November of 2013 Jill and Jim Bob were given a chance to visit Nepal to meet Derick in person and that is when he asked for an official courtship. Before returning home to Arkansas, he and his mother made a trip to Israel where he picked out Jill's white gold .63 solitaire diamond engagement ring. Following tradition he asked Jim Bob for his daughters hand in marriage in February 2014 and they were engaged the following month.

The Proposal:
Airing Tuesday, June 3 on TLC as the season finale. Check back here for the recap following the show! I can assure you it has just enough Dad-glares at his new son-in-law.

The Wedding Shower:
According to the Duggar Family Blog, the shower was thrown by the fellowship at their church. In a fitting gesture, their cake displayed a scripture from Genesis 2:24 "Therefor shall a man leave his father and his mother, an shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."
