The Voice: Top 3's a Charm

The Voice opened us up with something special tonight, three performers from previous seasons performing their own singles! This was an awesome surprise and a nice way of showing the contestants, and America, that this is real for these artists. You really can be somebody after the show, and I think this was the perfect motivator in the semi-finals.

We're down to five contestants and as usual two have to go home. First saved was Jake Worthington! I must admit; at first I hated on Jake. With singers like Sisuandra and Josh in the competition, I just didn't think he stood a chance, but I just found something out. Jake is only 18 years old! Yes, 18! This kid is doing wonderfully, so good for you Jake.

And speaking of Josh, he was the next one saved tonight. As he should be. Josh is amazing and everyone knows it. Especially Adam who cries about how stupid he was for letting him go after each performance.

Now there are only three left. The rock star nanny Kat, Pop singer Christina, and Country singer Kristen. The three women were forced to do a sing off. This was a sight to see. All three women are phenomenal singers and have unique voices and styles. Kristen sang first; her vocals were great, but this is common for Kristen, which just isn't enough to propel you over the edge in this competition. Next, Kat sang and she performed well, but I would say stage presence is her specialty.

However, when Christina sang "Apologize" by One Republic, the crowd went wild. Partially because it's a mainstream song that most people know. I think the other part is that she rocked it! Which is why she's now in the top three and going onto the finals! Well Christina, congrats. All of the top three are terrific singers, but I really think Josh is a force to be reckoned with, no offense to the competitors. I guess it's game on from here.
