RHOA - Goodbyes and New Beginnings

After a long season filled with man problems, shade, and plenty of drama, season six of RHOA came to a close.

Kenya said good-bye to Velvet with an intimate ceremony and was hysterical. It was a bit over the top, but poor Velvet was all Kenya had. Hopefully it's like her aunt said, and God is making room for a baby in her life because even psychos like Kenya shouldn't have to be alone.

Porsha finally signed her divorce papers from Kordell, but was hesitant to take off her wedding ring. Her mother and Lauren pressured her to take it off and out it somewhere safe and the safe place ended up being at the bottom of a champagne glass!  When discussing the settlement with her family, Porsha made it seem as though she decided not to take Kordell's money. Yea right - I know he refused to give it to her, but I just can't figure out how she walked away with nothing. Hopefully Porsha can find love with someone who doesn't want to control her, or want her to be their beard.

The entire season, Mama Joyce has been waging a war against Todd, claiming it was because she was looking out for Kandi. Maybe she needs to have a little more faith in the woman she raised, because Kandi definitely let us know tonight that she's a tough cookie when it comes to her finances. She made it very clear to Todd during a conversation about their prenup that she intends to protect all the assets she amassed prior to their relationship/marriage. She's willing to share the money they made from creating the play together, but nothing else. Smart girl!

Speaking of the play, A Mother's Love opened to a packed audience that included Mr. Tyler Perry himself! I have to admit, I was afraid to see how the play was going to come out. It appeared that the production went awfully fast, and with Porsha missing so many rehearsals, it seemed like the whole thing might be a bust. Despite all the challenges, the play seems like it was actually a success! Some of the subject matter may have hit close to home for Mama Joyce, and Kandi even admitted that many of the things she couldn't (or wouldn't) say to her mom, she put in the play. She seemed to handle it well though, and hopefully her talk with Todd created a fresh start for everyone.

Ever the diva, NeNe got admitted to the hospital and missed Kandi's play. Hopefully she was in good health for the reunion, which airs next week. I can't wait to see this rumored show down between Porsha and Kenya! Stay tuned!
