It was shocking to see Sisaundra and Biff as the opening act in part 2 of the second battle rounds. We all know Sisaundra can erupt volcanoes with her voice. She and Biff performed "It's a Man's World," by James Brown under the supervision of Blake and the ever talented Chris Martin! Mr. Martin, like the rest of us, was instantly impressed with Sisaundra's voice saying, "There's only a few people in the world who can sing like that." Don't we know! I think I could see every vein in the human body pulsating threw Sisaundra's neck as she sang this song back to life. Soul brother Biff was no match against this diva, even if it is a "man's world."

Contrary to the first performance, Shakira chose a milder pair to sing "Say Something" by Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World. This performance was a bit nerve wrecking to watch. I strongly wanted both ladies to do well. As a young girl with limited life experience, Deja needed to work on connecting with the song. DDendyl, however, seemed to have a better grasp on the song. With this edge, and her mature tone, I thought for sure she would sweep the win right from under Deja.  But despite the disadvantage of her youth, Deja really applied the teachings Shakira gave to her and delivered the song well. Sadly, DDendyl was sent packing. This was certainly a shock, but I was happy for Deja, after all, she and I share the same name.

Now time for the final hoorah! This time the show ended with two rockers going head to head. Usher had Stevie Jo and Morgan perform One Direction's "Story of My Life." This actually turned out to be a good song for the duo. I'm not going to lie, before the battle started I had the person I wanted to win already in my head, and that person was Stevie Jo. He just blew me away with his style in the last battle.

By the end of the performance my vote went from Stevie Jo to Morgan. Morgan shocked me with his fearless gritty sound, and by the look on Usher's face, I wasn't the only one surprised when he hit that hidden falsetto run toward the end. Who knew that would come out of him? At the time he needed it, there it was. Even with the impressive high note, Morgan was not able to persuade Usher to keep him on his team. But like the saying goes, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Adam was quick to scoop up Morgan for the steal. Adam sure got himself a good one. I think Morgan could be the new secret weapon for Team Adam.

See ya next Monday to find out who stays, and who goes home on The Voice!
