This week, the ladies of RHOA showed us that all is fair in love, war, and charity events! Mama Joyce started up with her Todd hating club again, and Kenya tries to make nice with NeNe.
Mama Joyce quieted down with her Todd drama for a while, but it returned with a vengeance on this episode. All season, she's been claiming "the streets" have been her source for Todd gossip, and Carmon found out exactly who "the streets" are. Apparently there is this man named Benny, who is an associate of Todd, Kandi, and Carmon who dates a girl named Crystal, who is friends with Mama Joyce. Crystal is the one that has been blabbing to Joyce. Confused yet? It sounds like a bunch of he said/ she said to me. Carmon also found out that Joyce offered to pay someone to invite Todd out to a bar or club and get pictures of him being inappropriate with women. When Todd found out, he warned Kandi that the situation with her mom was going to get to the point of him leaving her and turning their engagement into a friendship. Kandi got really emotional, claiming that his statement is the reason why she puts her family first, because her mom would never leave her. No Kandi, she won't leave you, but she'll destroy everything you have in your life! Time to revaluate your priorities girl.
Seemingly to get back in NeNe's good graces, Kenya decided to have a masquerade ball and donate the proceeds to one of NeNe's favorite charity, Saving Our Daughters. The event was supposed to have honored NeNe, but Kenya forgot one important detail: to invite NeNe! Kenya thought NeNe received an e-vite like everyone else, but apparently she didn't. Throwing a party to honor someone and their favorite charity should be accompanied by more than an e-vite if you ask me, but apparently Kenya felt differently.
When NeNe caught wind of what was going on, she refused to attend the event and chalked it up to one of Kenya's games. After incessant phone calls from Cynthia, NeNe finally showed up to the event, but played Kenya by giving a short and rude speech when prompted to say a few words. Peter was annoyed at NeNe's actions and demanded to leave the party as soon as her little speech was over. Upon his exit, he ran into NeNe and got into with her. Thank goodness Peter walked away, or it would have been another melee on RHOA. NeNe should have stuck to her first instinct and stayed home because her presence didn't help anyone at that ball.
Next week it looks like NeNe walks away from a fight with Marlo! Stay tuned!
